My intention is to make statement pieces: edgy, artistic, and bold—where a hip grandmother would own them and her granddaughter would covet them.
About Everett Johnson
Hailing from East St. Louis, Illinois, Everett Eugene Johnson is a visionary self-taught creative. Since early childhood, Johnson was surrounded by an exaltation of class, refinement, and elegance, which he witnessed through his mother and grandmothers. It was this intrinsic element of style that led Johnson to pursue a career in Fashion Design in 1986.
With his creative spirit, Johnson draws inspiration from esteemed African-American leaders like Miles Davis and Katherine Dunham. Although fashion has always been a core driver for Johnson, he has also been a hairdresser with 30 years of experience that has encompassed mentoring stylists and working alongside industry veterans.
In the midst of his three decades-long career, Johnson’s affinity for fashion led him to establish the leather goods line, Liza B, in 2009. With it, the bespoke leather goods line reimagines the relationship between quintessential class and contemporary elegance.
As a self-taught, multi-hyphenate creative , Johnson's creations transcend time, weaving a narrative of heritage, passion, and generational treasure.
